Recommendations - Deployment Environment

• A dedicated Windows OS computer to run the LearnSpace server
• A static IP address or resolvable host name for the computer running the LearnSpace server
• One or more projectors or large screens connected to the dedicated computer
  • Multiple projectors and screens must be configured in an extended desktop configuration (not mirrored)
  • These screens will be the shared display space for users connecting with their laptops via LearnSpace
• Screens and projectors should be easily viewable by all audience members.

Network Requirements and Recommendations

• REQUIRED: The computer running the LearnSpace server must be reachable on TCP port 80 from the (wireless) network from which clients will be connecting
  • This may require reconfiguring your organizations firewall or other network administration.
  • Without this path open, users will not be able to connect to the shared display.
• RECOMMENDED: A high bandwidth 802.11 wireless network available from the room with the computer running the LearnSpace server. We further recommend a dedicated WiFi access point in the same room for a better signal.
• RECOMMENDED: Minimal number of network hops between the computer running the LearnSpace server and the wireless access point users will connect from
